How to backup your website in cPanel
Monday, July 26th, 2010 | Author: Stephen Waters

Backing up a wbsite or blog is the storing of files and data in another location. That way, if something should happen to your site or blog, you’ll still have a copy of all the data in a safe place. Backing up the information is very easy (take a few minutes) and you can save a lot of time and effort and stress by doing so. Anything can go wrong at anytime: a website can crash, you overwrite a file you shouldn’t of, you could make a costly mistake and so forth. Also, by saving everything, you’ll be able to revamp your site without any problems.

There are so many reasons why it’s important to make a back of your website on to your computer or backup storage device like a flash disk or cd/dvd. Even though most hosting companies make backups every 24 hours or once a week, it’s still a good idea for you to personally keep a copy of your website in a safe place.

Below is a video tutorial on how to backup your website by making use of the online backup tool in cPanel.

It’s always important to know where your website stands in respect of how many visitors are coming on to your website, what they searched to find your website as well as where most of your business is coming from. This will greatly assist you in improving your marketing strategies for your website.

Below you will find a helpful video showing you the ins and outs of AWStats which is my preferred free website stats program that comes built into cPanel.
