How to setup a email account in cPanel

You can setup email accounts using your cPanel control panel. To get started, follow the instructions below.

1. Login to cPanel.

2. When the page loads, click on the “Email Accounts” link in the Mail section.

3.1 Select the domain you want to use for the new email address from the drop down many if you have multiple domain hosted this account.

3.2 Enter the username of your new email address in the “Email” text box.
Example: info or bob

4. Enter a password of your new email address in the “Password” text box. Under that, type in the same password again. Take note that it must be identical to the first password you typed in. It is also case sensitive. You will notice the “tick” mark on the right to verify that you’ve typed it in correctly.

For those that would like to create a very secure password or can’t think of a password, you may also make use of the “Password Generator” by clicking on the “Password Generator” button.

5. If you want to specify a quota (storage space) for this email address, enter the new number (megabytes) in the “Mailbox quota” text box or leave it set as default figure. Would highly recommend putting in a figure. Average size would be 25mb or 50mb.

6. Next, click on the “Create” button.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a new email account.
